With support from CEDA, FoodHQ Innovation is proud to announce our Food Technology Scholarship is now open for applications! At FoodHQ, we’re passionate about shaping the future of New Zealand’s food and agrifood sectors – and that future begins with our students. This scholarship is our way of supporting the next generation of innovators and changemakers who will lead and transform the industry.
The Central Economic Development Agency (CEDA) connects people, place and business in Manawatū. Working closely with our partners, stakeholders and wider business community, CEDA’s core objectives, programmes and activities are designed to create the environment, stimulus, outcomes and impacts that power economic prosperity for the region and beyond.
FoodHQ Innovation is New Zealand’s leading hub of food and food production scientists that advocates for collaboration, food innovation and investment among researchers, industry, and policymakers to tackle challenges to advance the food industry.

We’re looking for a driven and curious student who’s passionate about food innovation and interested in building a career in the food technology or agrifood industry.
To apply, you must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident starting your first year of the Bachelor of Food Technology with Honours at Massey University.
You’ll need to submit:
✅ A statement (max 1000 words) outlining your passion for food tech, career goals, and academic achievements
✅ A copy of your academic transcripts (school leavers can upload their NCEA School Results Summary from NZQA)
