The Future of Food
Growing, producing and innovating food will become more difficult with increasing extreme weather events impacting growing conditions, changing sustainability demands of consumers concerned with greenhouse gas emissions and the anticipated population growth up to 10 billion people.
The Future of Food Platform will bring scientists, producers, innovators together to awaken a sense of urgency about the changes coming to food, farming, and food production. Because, more than ever, New Zealanders need to understand the future of food to ensure sustainable production, equitable access to food for all and healthy outcomes for people, planet, and profit. It is, after all, our biggest business by far.
The Future of Food is a docu-series told in podcast, and articles about five disruptions challenging the NZ food system: it will endeavour to explain the trends, anticipate changes and help people make smarter decisions about where to invest their time, money and talent for the greatest return.
